How is it different from VoiceMap or izi.TRAVEL?
VoiceMap and izi.TRAVEL offer tours created in advance by guides, museums and publishers for specific routes and venues. AI TourMate generates a story in real time for whichever landmark you're near, so it also works where no such tour exists, and you don't have to follow a route. If a hand-crafted tour exists for exactly where you're going, that can be a great choice too.
Do I need to download a tour first?
No. Open the app wherever you are and the map shows the landmarks around you. If you'd like to plan ahead, the Tour Planning feature suggests routes connecting several landmarks.
Does it work offline?
You need a connection to generate a new story, but stories you've already generated can be played offline. If the signal is weak where you're going, generate them on Wi-Fi beforehand.
How accurate are the stories?
Stories are built on Wikipedia and Wikivoyage sources for reliable information.
Is there a subscription?
No. The app is free to download and you get 1 free credit to start. After that you buy credit packs when you need them — one credit per story, no subscription, and credits never expire. Current prices are shown in the app in your local currency.
